my story

I was raised in an alternative household. My mum was a passionate advocate for my health and my sister’s, dedicating her child-raising years to cooking from scratch and raising us to be in touch with nature and the outdoors. Alternative health wasn’t just an option; it was our norm. We very rarely saw a doctor and enjoyed robust health growing up.

In my early twenties, I began struggling with body dysmorphia, which led to restrictive eating patterns and, eventually, anxiety and panic attacks. I followed a high-protein diet and ‘clean eating’, believing they were the key to a lean, healthy body — but instead, I experienced brain fog, fatigue, and neuroinflammation. After one too many panic attacks, I knew something had to change. In 2013, I made a radical intuitive decision: I went vegan.

Almost immediately, I felt better. My brain fog lifted, my energy returned, my cycle regulated, and my digestion improved dramatically. Most importantly, my relationship with my body shifted. I became more empathetic toward myself and focused on nourishing my body with living, nutrient-dense foods — rather than restricting calories and focusing on protein. On a deeper level, I felt I was raising my vibration and contributing to love, not taking it away.

My fascination with optimal health led me to study a pre-med degree and complete an Honours year in gastroenterology, researching Crohn’s disease and Ulcerative Colitis and the connection between local and systemic inflammation. Although I was on the path to medical school, I ultimately chose to become a registered nurse after witnessing the extreme stress and imbalance among medical students and doctors. I’ve now been nursing for over seven years, with experience across hospital wards, general practice, and theatre.

During my nursing training, I was deeply unsettled by the medication-heavy approach of Western medicine. It conflicted with everything I was raised to believe, everything I had studied, and everything I intuitively knew to be true. I saw countless patients feeling lost and overwhelmed by polypharmacy, lacking clear diagnoses, and being told there was nothing more that could be done.

A few years ago, my partner received a life-altering diagnosis. I watched him bravely take control of his health and make radical changes. Together, we searched for root causes and leaned into natural healing. That experience changed me profoundly. I saw firsthand how the medical system often pressures patients, fuels fear, and disregards personal choice. In contrast, I also saw the power of taking responsibility and using natural medicine as a tool for true healing.

This experience led me to study naturopathy with the intention of sharing what I’ve learned and helping others reclaim their health with natural medicine at the centre.

I’ve always loved learning (hence the many years of study!) and continuously seek out new knowledge. I bring that same passion and curiosity into each client’s case, committed to uncovering the root causes and supporting long-term healing.

I also believe deeply in connectedness, the idea that everything is linked, that few things are random, and that our life experiences carry meaning. I aim to help you understand how your story has led you to this moment. And once the dots are connected, I’ll support you to break through barriers and step fully into your power.
