Dieticians and nutritionists don’t stem from holistic roots, they are a part of allied health - which isn’t integrated medicine. They aren’t taught how to diagnose patients (they rely on doctors to do this) where as naturopaths are taught how to diagnose patients and taught the pathophysiology behind diseases, illnesses and symptoms. Therefore, these differences in diagnosis changes how a dietician and a naturopath treats a patient.
Using someone with low iron as an example, a dietician would focus on the symptom - the low iron result from a blood test from a doctor and try to increase a persons iron either through supplements or food rich in iron. A naturopath wouldn’t necessarily focus on the low iron result, they would treat the root cause of an iron deficiency which is usually an issue with ones absorption in their gut. The naturopath would work on healing the persons gut so they can absorb iron optimally from diet (& may supplement or give herbs to increase iron absorption).
Dieticians are very macronutrient and calorie focused. Naturopaths are more micronutrient focused. Dieticians are taught from a reductionist system, where as naturopaths are taught from a holistic system. Naturopaths will come up with a holistic diagnosis and treat the causes of the problem, a dietician, like most doctors will treat symptoms.

Not at all. I welcome clients with all dietary backgrounds. That said, I do personally advocate for a plant-based lifestyle as I believe—based on both research and experience—that it offers powerful benefits for long-term health and wellbeing. My role is to meet you where you're at and support you in making sustainable changes that align with your goals.

Not at all. Clients see me for prevention, vitality, hormonal balance, detox support, or simply to optimise their health. Whether you’re struggling with something specific or just feel “off,” we’ll work together to get to the root cause.

This depends on your health goals and the complexity of your case. Some clients see improvements in just a few sessions, while others benefit from ongoing care over several months to support deeper healing. We’ll discuss this together at your first consult.
